T-shirt and Jeans

Sometimes you just want to be comfortable and casual and wear a t-shirt and jeans. I've got a great tee and comfortable jeans for you from Nordstrom. I dressed it up a bit with lots of silver accessories and some lace up grey ballet flats. I needed to be comfortable this day because we were going for crabs. A end of the summer tradition for my friend Paul's birthday. He's been asking for a shout out on the blog, despite the fact that he doesn't read it. Anyway we went to Nick's Fish House where I highly recommend the Deck Fries and of course the crabs, when they're in season of course. Check out the look.

Yellow Skirt and Sweatshirt

I love sweatshirt weather! Last Saturday I had brunch with my cousins and sister at Jaleo. I highly recommend their delicious brunch menu with their signature sangrias. I chose to mix a fancy skirt with a more casual top for a cool and fun look. My skirt is old but Target has a beautiful alternative. I finished the look with my favorite crushed velvet slip ons and a classic vintage Coach shoulder bag (get one on ETSY). Check it out.

Velour Duster and Destroyed Jeans

How fabulous is this duster? I'm so in love with this look that I stole from @budgetbabe who stole it from Kelly Rowland. The weather has finally cooled down and this delicious pink duster is keeping me warm. I love the mix of the soft pink with the destroyed jeans and black accessories. I hope the weather stays in the 60s and I can keep wearing peeptoe booties with my fall looks. Get all the details below.

I jumped for join when this showed up on Budget Babes twitter account. I'm really digging the velvet trend this season and this duster couldn't be more fun plus it's super soft.

Sephora Play August 2017: The Innovators

First I just want to say how much I love Sephora Play. Sure there are plenty of duds but for $10 a month it's totally worth the bad stuff to get all the good stuff and the enjoyment I get out of trying new stuff. There's a waiting list but I feel like I was only on it for a few months so if you're interested sign up here. This month had some gems and some not so impressive items. Take a look.

beautyblender micro.mini $18
This usually comes in a pack of two so just one of these is worth $9 seriously a good deal. beautyblender is generally considered to be the best sponge on the market but the full size one is $20 so I've never used one. Instead I use Real Techniques Sponge for $6, and they make a mini sponge I use too. I really like the shape of the Real Techniques sponge because it has a flat edge. Ok that being said this beautyblender is AMAZING. It's definitely a better sponge. It's softer and it blends better. I'm going to buy a full size one and I am so happy I got this one in the play box.

So you can't buy this duo it must have been made specially for Play. The mascara is $18 and the primer is $17. I was totally unimpressed with these products. This mascara had no major impact. I didn't feel like my lashes were longer or fuller.

I was excited to get this because it just made InStyle's best beauty list. Unfortunately it did not live up to my expectations. I loved the color, it was perfect on my tanned skin and it glided on with it's creamy finish and blended beautifully. However, within a few hours I was shiny and unpolished looking. I gave it two goes, I tried different primers and different finishing powders but the reality is this didn't hold up to the humidity and I'm just not interested in reapplying foundation in the middle of the day. I certainly wouldn't pay $46 for it. My favorite stick foundation is Clinique Chubby in the Nude Stick for $25.

Well this sample is worth more then $10. It's a great polish with minerals and enzymes and creates a great scrub. It says use daily but you should definitely not scrub your face with this more then twice a week. I do feel like it was a great exfoliator but I wouldn't spend $75 on it. An alternative is Vasanti Brighten Up for $35.

I love this dry shampoo! I did a whole post on dry shampoos awhile ago and I wish I had tried this first. It's a strong contender. It sprays very evenly and doesn't have to be shaken with all your might to get it to come out and isn't ever wet. The white powder completely brushes out and leaves your hair clean and dry. More recently I had been using the Drybar for brunettes but it leaves a brown residue that can get on your face and clothes. This is definitely my new go to.

I already owned this perfume. It's a great light scent with a fresh aroma and notes of florals and fruits but it's not too sweet smelling.

Custom Mom Life Sweatshirt

I stole this look from my friend Jenny who stole it from Meghan Edmonds King. How fabulous is it? It says Scarlett in a heart on the front and mom life on the back. It's super soft and comfy and is perfect for cool fall nights. I wore it for our nightly beach walks on our recent mini break at Ocean City. Check it out and the details. It's a bit of a short post because all I needed was my sweatshirt and jeans on the beach.

So when you order this there is no place to put in your details. You have to send them an email but they were super quick to respond and it was perfect when it came. It's super soft! I'm wearing a medium.

I love these jeans and I especially love that I'm wearing them in a 27 (4). I've lost a ton of weight and it's been fun watching my jean size drop. I'd say they are on spot for size.

Black Tank and a LuLaRoe Madison

The weather has been ridiculous. Most of September has felt like July, you can see in the pictures that my flowers are still blooming and happy. I went sleeveless with this look but you can take it into fall by adding a black blazer or sweater. This is my first LuLaRoe Madison and I wasn't sure if I'd really like it but I actually love it and got a bunch of compliments. The Madison is like the bottom of an Amelia with pockets which is always great. I accessorized with my current gold toned Rocksbox set which added personality and polish to this look. Check out all the details.

My tank is a few seasons old but Lush has a new one that is beautiful that is long enough to tuck in, but has great details if you want to leave it out.

This skirt is very comfortable and of course it comes in some really fun patterns. You can get one from my friend Kristen. I'm wearing a medium and I'm currently a 4-6, so it's a little bit of a tighter fit.

These are some of my favorite shoes. They're great from Spring to Fall and are very comfortable and super cute.

 net-a-porter espadrilles

I love this necklace. It has so much going on but isn't too big. It really elevated this look. Get a free month of Rocksbox with this code: amandabbff1130.

I really love this bracelet too and I can't decide if I'm going to keep it or not. It's a little bohemian but it's got a more dressy feel to it.

I was working that day so I had my big old laptop in this beautiful sophisticated bag.
