Sephora Play June Box: Summer Starters

Sorry it took me so long to review these products but I've been busy teaching this summer. It's my last year and I have totally mixed feelings about putting away my old career and getting back to my new one. Anyway here's the stuff in the box and what I liked and didn't.

Tarte Tarteguard 20 Tinted Moisturizer $36
This is a good tinted moisturizer. I took it to the beach with me and wore it when I didn't feel like putting on a full face of make up and I was very happy with the results. I feel like this would be great year round if you're wearing moisturizer that doesn't have any spf in it. It doesn't have that extra sunscreen oiliness to it that a lot of spf tinted moisturizers do. It's easy to apply and the medium color worked even with my tan.

Murad Invisible Perfecting Shield SPF 30 $65
So this is basically my favorite sunscreen of all time. I just looked up the price and I guess I better enjoy my sample because I probably won't be buying it. I guess if you factor it in as a primer too it's not so bad. It's a gel and not oily at all. Really stellar product. I do wish it were 45 or 50 though.

Bumble and Bumble Don't Blow It $31
This is no miracle product. If you have hair that dries straight or even curly well it might be a good product but my hair dries into a wavy mess and this didn't stop that from happening, My hair has to be styled at all times and this didn't save me from that.

Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in K-Dub $20
This is a pretty good long lasting (although not everlasting) liquid lipstick. It doesn't dry out your lips like the really long lasting ones but it did hold up to my coffee drinking. There's an amazing selection of colors and this one really pops.

Briogeo Curl Charisma Rice Amino + Avocado Leave-In Defining Cream $20
I don't have curly hair so I have nothing to say on this product except I was slightly irritated this box came with two hair products I can't really use. If you're local and want this give me a hollar.

Mugler Alien $29-120
I was excited to try this because they have cool looking adds in my magazines. I liked the almost musky but slightly floral scent, not enough to buy it but it's definitely interesting and unique.

Tank Top and a LuLaRoe Cassie

It's totally Cassie weather out there and I was headed to a LuLaRoe party so I had to suit up. This Cassie was picked for me by Kristen and she did a great job I love the blue and yellow with the tribal feel. I like a solid black or white top with a patterned Cassie so the pattern stands out. There's something to be said for mixing patterns in the right way but this skirt needed to be the star of this look so I went with single colored accents. I went with gold jewelry because I wanted the chevrons on the necklace to compliment the zigzag in the skirt. Check out the look and the details.

Ann Taylor Loft Essential Tank $15

I love these tanks. They're very comfortable and light weight but not flimsy.

LuLaRoe Cassie $35

This is probably the best deal you can get from LuLaRoe. It's a versatile skirt you can pull it up past your waist to shorten it like I did here. Or wear it long like I did in this post. It comes in so many fun patterns and colors.

Steve Madden Fringe Sandals $48

My sandals are from last season but these are the new ones, on sale for the end of the summer. Grab them up quick for next year.

Kate Spade Medium Hemsley $164

My Kate Spade is old but here's a similar blue colored one on sale big time!

Francesca's Chevron Ladder Necklace $13

This one's mixed metals, which I love. Mine came from my Rocksbox.

Sole Society Black Horn Necklace $24

I layered a similar necklace to this one with my chevron necklace to give the open neckline of the tank a little pop.

Kate Spade Bangle $25

I'm super excited I found some of last seasons Spade bangles on eBay at such a great price.

eBay Nail Bracelet $13

I love these bracelets. Cheap but cute.

Blue Blouse and Linen Shorts

I found this shirt with it's tag on it in my closet. Who knows when I bought it but I've found a cute blue one from Loft for you to complete the look. I love these linen shorts, they're so comfortable and perfect for a slightly less casual look for the summer.  I dressed this look up even more with elegant accessories and a polished pair of flats. This fits nicely on my watch wrist and dresses up my hideous black smart watch.

I'm a big fan of these bags. They're water resistant and come in a dozen colors and three sizes.
