Get My Old Hollywood Wedding Look

I had a classically elegant outfit for Michele and Joel's wedding so I needed my hair and makeup to match. I chose Veronica Lake waves and a sharp wing with complimentary eyeshadow.

Here's how I did it:

Hair
Step 1: Start with a wave enhancing serum like Tresseme Make Waves Shine Enhancing Cream put a nickel size amount evenly through your hair.

Step 2: Apply a texturizung spray like Not Your Mother's Dry Texture Finish Spray all over your hair.

Step 4: Part your hair slight to either the left or right.

Step 3: Using a 1 inch curling iron (I use Conair Infinity Pro don't let anyone convince you that you need a $200 curling iron) starting on the larger part curl your hair away from your face vertically.

Step 4: Continue curling all around your head going in the same direction.

Step 5: When all your hair is curled spray with a medium hold hair spray like Tresseme Tres Two Ultra Fine Hairspray.

Step 6: Using a flat brush, brush out the curls into waves.

Step 7: Use a strong hair spray like Bed Head Masterpeice Massive Shine to set the waves in place.

Eye Make Up
Step 1: Start with an eye shadow primer like Urban Decay Primer Potion or Too Faced Shadow Insurance.

Step 2: Apply an ivory shade of eye shadow on the lid.

Step 3: Apply a brown or bronze shadow on your crease and in the outer corner of your eye.

Step 4: Use a gel liner like Rimmel Gel Liner  to create a wing.

Step 5: Using lash trios such as Kiss Envy Trio Lashes dip the edges of the mini lashes into the glue like Duo Eyelash Glue, wait 30 seconds and apply to the outer edges of your lash line. I did two sets on each side.

Step 6: Apply a eyelash primer like Lancome Cils Booster to your lashes. Wait a few minutes to dry.

Step 7: Finish with a bold mascara like Tarte Lights Camera Flashes.

Step 8: Apply a highlighting shadow under your outer eye brow.

Step 9: Use a bristle eyebrow brush to straighten your eye brows.

Step 10: Use a brow gel like NYX Tame and Frame Brow Pomade to frame and then fill in your brows.

Step 11: I like my brows a little more natural looking so I use the eyebrow brush to fluff them a bit at the end.

Here's all the products I used on my face.

Boom! Old Hollywood glamour.
