Spring Makeup Trends

I'm really excited about the Spring makeup trends this year. It's all about the glow and nothing too complicated or overdone. Here's the look and what I used to get it.

Natural Glow
You can get that soft glow look on your skin a couple of different ways. I used Glam Glow Glowstarter Mega Illuminating Moisturizer in Nude Glow ($49) but a great alternative is to use an oil over your moisturizer like L'Oreal Age Perfect Glow Renewal ($30). Both with give your skin a natural shine.

Gold Eyes
This is such a great trend because it's so easy to achieve. I used a Sephora Collection Colorful Shadow & Liner in Gold ($14), but the Kaki color has a more muted gold look if that's the direction you want to go. NYX ($5) also makes a shadow stick in gold it's sold out online but they may have them in the stores. Just swipe it on your lids and on the outside crease. No need for eyeliner with this look. Just let the gold shine through.

 Jumbo Eye Pencil

Dusted on your cheekbones highlighter gives you an instant lift and shine. I used Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit ($45) in Golden Dawn. A really inexpensive alternative is L'Oreal True Match Lumi Powder Glow Illuminator ($13) in Golden, it's not going to give you the the same level of shine but it will lift your look.

Nude Lip Color
Nudes are all the rage this spring. Look for a color that is just a hair darker then your natural lip color. I'm wearing Bite Beauty Multistick in Cashew ($24) but a great alternative is NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream ($6).

Puffer Vest and Suede Elbow Patchs

Puffer vests aren't just great in the fall, they're perfect for cool spring temps. I also love Tom's in the spring too. They're super comfortable shoes that work great with a casual looks. I wore this look to bingo night at my daughter's school and we won on the second card! It was a fun casual night and here's what I wore.

A black puffer vest is a staple for fall but if you don't already own one Macy's has one on sale. The hood is removable. Get an extra 15% off with the code MORE.

SheIn is a great site with loads of great cheap duds. Shipping takes awhile, but I've loved everything I've gotten. This shirt is extra soft.

My favorite pair of cheap jeans, they're stretchy and soft and cute to boot.

These are a classic casual slip-on shoe. Super comfortable and made by a great company that donates shoes to kids in need.

Target makes a pretty good Tom's dupe. Still comfortable and a little more affordable.

The perfect casual shoe needs the perfect casual bag. This is a great bag if you know you're going to have to put it on a cafeteria floor. It's sturdy and water resistant.

Hunter Boots and a Leopard Print Scarf

Lots of spring showers this week so it's another Hunter Boot look today, but it's warmed up quite a bit so I took out the fleece liners in my boots. I'm ready for those spring showers. You've seen this black sweater a few times now it's so comfy and pretty light weight, great for spring. Black and pink is always a fun combination. Here are all the details.

This is a great sweater that wasn't quite warm enough in the dead of winter but is perfect for those early spring temps. It's a really soft material and works with so many outfits.

Charlotte Russe Skin Tight Leggings $30
I particularly like wearing really skinny jeans with my Hunter Boots. It gives my calfs a little room to breathe. These jeans are skin tight and very flattering.

I own two colors but the pink is definitely my favorite. I mean Lisa Vanderpump owns the same pair!

Amazon sells a perfect dupe for the pink Hunter Boots at a really amazing price.

Amazon is the perfect place to buy scarfs. They have hundreds of patterns and colors. I get a lot of wear out of this grey leopard print, it goes with a lot of stuff.

Scarfand's Leopard Infinity Scarf (Gray)

You've seen me wear this a hundred times. It goes with everything.

I keep putting this bag away and then pulling it out again. It's just so chic and fits all my normal stuff plus my laptop.

Floral Blouse and Utility Pants

I merged two spring trends together today, army green utility pants from New York and Company and a floral blouse from Old Navy. You'll see these two trends everywhere on everyone this spring! I finished the look with my spring tote and black booties. Check out the details.

Old Navy Floral Swing Top $24
I love the little flare of this top. It's really comfortable and kind of large, I'm wearing a medium. Unfortunately, they only have L and XS left online, check the store or buy this similar top in the same print. Florals are always hot in the spring.

These pants are awesome and very comfortable. They're pretty slim so I went up a size and there a tad bit baggy. The image is of a model who's obviously a lot taller then I am becuase they aren't that short on my but they are cropped a bit. Green utility pants are all over the place right now so buy them while they're on sale!

I get so much wear out of my black booties from last season. These have a similar side zipper and aren't going out of style any time soon.

I'm still loving this bag. It's the perfect cream color and feels like real leather!

I can't believe this cuff is still on sale. it's the perfect pretty accessory.

Mine came from Rocksbox (get a free month with this code: amandabbff1130) but I really love this one too.
