Sephora Play May 2017: The Rising Stars

Sorry I'm late on posting this one. This box was a mixed bag. There were some really great things and some things I barely touched. Here's the list and my two cents on each.

Nudestix Magnetic Matte Lip Color $24
This was wonderful. It's a really great matte color lip pencil. The color is called greystone but it's a really beautiful milk chocolate. This totally held up to my coffee and then on for at least half the day. For how long it lasted I was really surprised at how much moisture it has. I love this and will use it often.

This was a mixed bag. I used it consistently three times a week, which is about as much as you should put soap on your face, to see if it made a difference in the balance of my skin. I do think it was a little less oily but it certainly did not minimize the appearance of my pores as it claims or clear up my skin any. It's very runny and I can tell you it tastes horrible, which I know because it is so runny. For the price I wish it did all it says it does. I'm enjoying using it, I have yet to decide if I'm going to buy any more. In general I think Sunday Riley products are good not great and only do half the things they say they will so this was just par for the course.

Under no circumstances is this product worth $27. Maybe if it was some amazing color but it came in clear and only sort of does what it claims to do. It's definitely the least stinging plumper I've ever used but it doesn't do a super amazing job of plumping. It's a nice gloss but that's about the extent of it.

So mostly I'm irritated they sent another highlighting stick two months after sending Benefit Watt's Up. It's a nice highlighter. I tired using it on my eyes and it didn't do much, so I'm not sure what other purpose this multipurpose stick has but I did like it on my cheekbones. I find putting highlighter anywhere other then my cheekbones and cupid's bow makes me look like a christmas tree so I stick to those two places.

 trestique highlighter

I have no idea what this product is like. The last time I used a Christophe Robin product it destroyed my color. I'm un-interested in a repeat. Just because a product says it's color safe does not make it so. This is full of sulphates I can't believe Sephora sells it.

This is the first perfume I have gotten from Play that I may actually buy. It smells like the beach and I love it. Very Seinfeld.
