Burgundy Swing Dress and Hat

I need to wear more hats. I love hats, especially this burgundy one. They just take your look to the next level. I found this dress in my closet with the tags still on it, so unfortunately I can't give you the exact dress that matches my hat, but Old Navy has a great spring swing dress in black that would look perfect with the burgundy hat. Check out this look.

QVC Floppy Hat $20
Hats aren't just great in the winter, it's a fun look for spring too and this color is classically elegant.

This is perfect for spring, 3/4 sleeves, cute key hole in the back, and just the right length for a grown up woman to wear. Nothing irks me more then finding a great dress that's too short to wear appropriately.

Ok so mine are LuLa Roe, but I got some complaints because the black ones are so hard to find. Luckily Old Navy makes them too.

Tall boots are on sale at this time of the year. This is a great pair because the finish is matte and it gives you a polished look.

This bag just keeps coming out of my closet to polish off any sophisticated look. Especially when I need to carry a bunch of stuff.

I love this cheap little necklace, it looks like it cost a lot more then it did. It elevates any look.

I often pair an inexpensive piece with a more costly one. This is a great investment piece, it's a truly sophisticated look.

Great Exfoliators

It's no secret that I am a big fan of chemical exfoliators, I use Paula's Choice BHA Liquid everyday, but sometimes your face has grime on it you want to scrub away so here's a list of exfoliators I love. What's not on this list is St. Ives Apricot Scrub which is incredibly popular and I used to use but the reason I don't any more is because it is just to harsh on your face. If you think about the fact that you're scrubbing your face with walnut shell hopefully you'll come to the conclusion that's just not a good idea. The ones I've chosen uses more gentle exfoliators. Here they are, at lots of price points.

Vasanti Brighten Up! ($10) is an exfoliator with enzymes and papaya, well known for it's skin soothing properties in other parts of the world. The micro crystals are very fine and give you a great scrub. I keep this in the shower and use it once a week. I really love the glow it gives my skin after washing with this.

Vasanti Brighten Up! Enzymatic Face Rejuvenator - Brightens, Exfoliates, Cleanses for Soft, Smooth, Radiant Skin - Enriched with Papaya, Microcrystals & Aloe - Travel Size Mini (0.7 oz.)

Pure Body Naturals Blueberry Oxygen Facial Scrub ($16) uses Jojoba beads to exfoliate and is full of antioxidants that soothe your skin, this is a very gelatinous formula that feels cool and wonderful on. It really feels richly moisturizing in addition to exfoliating.

Blueberry Oxygen Facial Scrub - Loaded with Antioxidants for Facial Rejuvenation - Perfect Facial Scrub and Exfoliator for Skin Renewal and Anti-Aging - Expert Blend Including Some Organic Ingredients

Tarte Frixxtion Stick Exfoliating Cleanser ($22) uses diatomaceous earth to exfoliate. It comes in a sick that's a little waxy but turns sudsy on your face. It's got a cleansing gel in it to so you get a scrub and a clean. Bonus you can use it as a mask too.

Dr. Brandt Microdermabrasion Age Defying Exfoliator ($79) is the ultimate exfoliator because in addition to the micro crystals it has lactic acid which is a chemical exfoliator. This one will not just remove dead skin but also improve the appearance of fine lines, acne scars, and more. If you buy it at Sephora online you also get a PoreDerabrasion.

Camo and Hunter Boots

This outfit was inspired by @budgetbabe on instagram. With the melting snow I needed my rain boots since there were puddles everywhere. Pat and I drove out to the Eastern Shore and hit up Burley Oak and RAR Brewing for a super fun date day. We had some truly scrumptious beer! You can follow me on Untapped, the beer app, at pinkhairfloosie. Here are the details of my look.

Charlotte Russe Camo Jacket $39
I love this jacket, not only is it a fun camo print but it's the perfect weight for spring. It's just warm enough for those 55-60 degree days.

This shirt is very soft and great for layering. Denim shirts are always a good staple piece to build on.

Denim Button-Down Shirt

This is practically the perfect tee, soft and a great cut. But the price makes it just right.

I love a skin tight legging jean with my Hunter Boots, it makes them less tight around my calfs.

I love my Hunter Boots so much and this color is so fun. I always get compliments. Sure black goes with everything but the cobalt blue pops!

Want the cool blue color but aren't ready to pay for Hunter Boots? JC Penny's got you covered.

I love this necklace so much I have it in three colors. It's elegant but fun. Rocksbox has a ton of them and you can get a free month with this code: amandabbff1130.

This is a great bag two own, it's the perfect bag for casual days. It's water resistant and big enough to hold all your stuff. Plus it comes in loads of colors. eBay has lots of them too.

Red Sweater and Combat Boots

It's cold out there again today. Missing that spring like weather we were getting. I love cable knit sweaters because they're cozy and cute. Bright red is hard to wear subtly but it's my favorite color. Mine is from H&M from last year but they have a perfect oversized cowl neck sweater that's on sale for the end of the season. Here are the details of my chilly March #ootd.

This oversized sweater is really awesome grab it at end of the season prices and wear the heck out of it next year. We still have another few weeks of cooler temps here in Maryland.

Right now all CR jeans are buy one get one for $12.50. It's a great deal, buy them in a few colors. These are the best jeans at this price point. They're soft and stretchy.

Combat boots are timeless. They add the perfect edge to any look and they're really comfortable. You can usually relay on Hot Topic to have a good pair.

This look seems to come and go every couple of years. It's hot right now and it will be again.

Faux Leather Mini Backpack

This bracelet is the best. I've gotten every penny out of it. It just instantly makes you 10% cooler.

Topshop Cardigan and a Perfect Spring Bag

I can't get enough of this Topshop cardigan. It's so soft and cozy but also very chic. This will be great when it's warm enough to ditch the winter coat. I'm obsessed with this new cream tote I picked up at Forever 21. It's perfect for spring.  Here are the rest of my outfit details.

I can't say enough good things about this oversized sweater. It's so soft and warm and definitely chic but fun. Mine is a size 6.

This is a soft tee but it's not too thin perfect for layering.

NY&C Soho Destroyed Skinny Jeans $65
My favorite brand of jeans. They're very stretchy and super soft. These aren't a bright white but almost an off white color. In the skinny jeans you want your true size.

Mine aren't faux suede but these ones are the perfect taupe color to match my old F21 booties. I wear mine all the time because the color is so complementary.

Faux Suede Ankle Booties

This bag is really great. It's not huge but still fits all my stuff and still has room for my Chromebook. It's a good faux leather too. it has an outer and an inner pocket. Add a pom pom like I did for a fun look.

I love the Rayne, I have one in gold, silver, and rose gold. This one I just got from Rockbox and now with the new $21 monthly credit I am definitely going to keep this piece. Get a free trial of Rocksbox with this code: amandabbff1130.

This bracelet is on sale big time and a really good deal on a real silver bracelet. It's very similar to the one I got from my mama.

Turtleneck Tunic and Riding Boots

This amazing turtleneck tunic came from a clothes swap, buried under a pile of sweaters I wasn't even looking at and my friend Kristen, the one who had the CASA bag decorating party, said this kind of looks like you and she was so right! It's LOFT but I found a similar one from J. Jill for you that's nice and lightweight, perfect for the changing weather. I love the way the green works with my classic riding boots. Here are all the details of my outfit.

Shop this look...

The color is more forest then hunter green but it'll look great with the boots. I also like it in red. It's a nice tunic length which I love, slightly more forgiving.

Abby cowl-neck sweater

For $20 this is a great deal on skin tight dark wash jeans, they're very slick and I get a ton of use out of them. Best part is you can buy them in your true size which often with really skinny jeans you have to buy two sizes up and don't feel so great about yourself.

These are on sale for less than half their original boots. Two toned riding boots always give you a polished look.

Style & Co Vedaa Boots, Only at Macy's

You're going to see this bag a lot this spring. It's very polished for a $30 bag.

I really love this cuff. it's sophisticated but fun. Still on sale too!

JC Penny's Pyramid Ring $20
My pyramid ring came from Rocksbox (get a free month with this code: amandabbff1130). This one is super cute and on sale.
